The Parish Church of
All Saints'
Stand, Whitefield

Our Mission Statement
To teach people to discover the generosity of God in their
lives and to respond to it.
The church is magnificent and magnificent things happen in
it.
All Saints' should seek to become the church where Stand
and Whitefield people are at home and where they will be welcomed.
We should seek to encourage and develop the human
resources of the congregation.
The Institution and Induction
The Institution and Induction of our rector took place on
Wednesday 6th July 2005 and was conducted by the Bishop of Bolton.
The Mayor of Bury and over 450 friends and parishioners
witnessed the occasion with music provided by the choir and brass compliment
under the direction of the Director of Music, Gordon Stewart.
The event was concluded with a champagne reception and
refreshments in the church hall.

from 7-30pm till 9-00pm. A band of 8 and sometimes 10 ringers can ring the
Plain methods comfortably and rang a quarter peal recently.
The ringers helped out at our nearest local tower, St
Mary, Prestwich, and rang for the introduction service of their new
rector, Rev Brian Hackett, who had moved from our other local tower, St
Mary, Radcliffe.
The ring of bells at Stand are in constant demand by visiting bands
for ringing tours and peal attempts. The College Youths rang a peal of
Bristol Surprise Major on the 17th July 2005 for the Induction of Reverend
Alison Hardy as Rector and as a complement to Mr & Mrs Barnet, the
church warden and former tower captain, on the occasion of their Silver
Wedding Anniversary.
